Thirty Days of Juice: Day 4

Beet It!

Makes 1 large or 2 small glasses

  • 7 oz raw beets
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 large orange
  • 2 oz spinach

Directions:

  1. Using a sharp knife, cut the beet into wedges. Roughly chop the carrot, then cut away skin from the orange and roughly slice the flesh.
  2. Push the orange, beetroot and carrot pieces alternately through a juicer, then add the spinach.
  3. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

Health Tip: This juice is perfect for times when you are not thinking straight or you need to concentrate. Beets, carrots and spinach all contain folic acid, which is known to help maintain a healthy brain, while the addition of fresh orange juice will give your body a natural vitamin boost. This delicious and vibrant blend is guaranteed to tingle your tastebuds!

  1. I’ve been juicing for about 23 years and I’ve never tried this combo with oranges but I did and it is quite nice and indeed it does add a little pep to your step!
